We’re Building Affordable Homes

Sisters Woodlands

Sisters Habitat has been fortunate to partner with Sisters Woodlands Development BUILD LLC and CS Construction for 10 cottages within this 35 acres subdivision. Four cottages have been completed within the first 2 cottage developments within Woodlands.

The remaining six cottages are under construction with completion by May 2026. Each of these six homes are being constructed to stringent FireWise standards with flame-resistant exterior details and materials, along with drought-tolerant FireWise landscape practices.

These high performance envelopes and building systems far exceed the rigorous requirements of the 2025 state energy code, with anticipated energy costs projected to be less than half of a comparable new home.

BUILD LLC serves as both planner and architect for the project while HHPR completed Civil Design, while Sisters Habitat volunteers finished home interiors with CS Construction serving as General Contractor.

Energy Star Logo

Energy Star Certification is awarded to homes built to high standards of energy efficiency, ensuring lower energy consumption, reduced utility bills, and improved comfort. Sisters Habitat for Humanity homes achieve this certification through features such as efficient insulation, high-performance windows, tight construction and ducts, and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. These homes also include Energy Star rated lighting and appliances, all of which contribute to reduced environmental impact. Each home undergoes rigorous third-party inspections, testing, and verification to meet strict EPA requirements, ensuring that families benefit from lower energy costs, enhanced comfort, and a sustainable living environment.
